Fund Update

As many of you know, I am working on putting a team and investment thesis together to launch a global consumer/media/technology fund. I have had some very positive feedback from potential early investors and hope to launch into full fund raising later this year. The fund will be focused on China, India, and U.S., investing in early stage companies with consumer-focused models in media, e-commerce, social networks, and in consumer products and services in China and India. The unique approach of the fund will be to have global view of the trends, be research-driven, and have a very strong local presence in each market, leveraging my extensive contacts in all three target markets. With this fund, I like to put into practice what I have been talking about for years now, in consumer trends, global nature of most technology and media trends, and the need to be the thought leader. I also like to leverage the extensive network that I have built in China, India and Silicon Valley. Many of my research reports and conference presentations have focused on these themes (see my archive for some examples).
